The operating context
What is different about development and humanitarian work here
Evidence has to meet donor standards and survive independent scrutiny, which puts more weight on research design and data quality than on the size of the sample.
Capacity building is judged on what remains after the grant closes. That argues for curriculum, materials and trainer development over one-off workshops.
Fieldwork depends on enumerators who know the terrain and the language. We have worked with UN agencies, international development agencies and civil society organizations since 2014.
