Who we are

This website is operated by Horn of Africa Strategic Initiatives (“HASI Consulting”, “we”), a management consulting and technical advisory firm with offices in Hargeisa (Somaliland), Mogadishu (Somalia), Jigjiga (Somali Region, Ethiopia). What we collect, and why

Enquiries

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you choose to give — typically your name, organization, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry. We use them to respond to you and, if an engagement follows, to run it. We do not use enquiry details for marketing, and we do not operate a mailing list from this website.

Technical information

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not run third-party tracking scripts. Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, request time and pages requested — for security and capacity purposes, retained on the provider’s normal schedule.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share enquiry details with anyone outside HASI Consulting except where a service provider processes them on our behalf (for example, email hosting) or where the law requires disclosure. Client confidentiality is one of the firm’s stated core values, and it starts with the first enquiry.

How long we keep enquiry details

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to two years so we can deal with follow-up questions, then deleted. Details connected to an engagement are kept for the duration of the engagement contract and any period the contract or applicable law requires afterwards.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where no engagement or legal obligation requires that we keep it. Write to hasiconsulting@hasiconsulting.com and we will respond within two working days.

Pages on this site link to external services — for example Google Maps for office directions and our e-learning platform at elearning.hasiconsulting.com. Those services have their own privacy practices, which apply once you leave this site.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Substantive changes will be stated plainly, not buried.
